Nuclear weapons industry
The RBTX staff has participated in the design, development, coordination, and facilitation of some 32 tabletop exercises (TTX) that involved the nuclear weapons plants and National Laboratories on behalf of the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Those exercises trained over 2,500 law enforcement, security, and emergency response personnel. The majority of these TTX scenarios addressed the potential threat of terrorists attempting to access, seize, and/or weaponize special nuclear materials and law enforcement efforts to detect, deter, disrupt and respond to those threats.
